Dean Anthony Gray-Bolden Named 2025 Delaware Principal of the Year!

The Delaware Association of School Administrators has named Cab Calloway Schools of the Arts Dean Anthony Gray-Bolden the 2025 Delaware Principal of the Year, recognizing his outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence in education! Dean Bolden is currently in his fourth year as the leader of Cab Calloway School of the Arts and his tenth year in the Red Clay Consolidated School District, bringing a total of 24 years of experience in education. A dedicated and visionary leader, he champions innovative arts education, ensuring students thrive artistically and academically.

"Congratulations to Dean Bolden," said Dr. Dorrell Green, Superintendent of Red Clay Schools. "This award is a testament to his exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and the lasting impact he has on students, staff, and the entire school community."

In addition to a rigorous academic and musical foundation, Dean Bolden gained a passion for the arts through the Girard Academic Music Program in Philadelphia. As a vocal major and Double Bass musician, he performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Philadelphia Singers, taking the stage at iconic venues like Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal and the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Throughout his career, Dean Bolden has taught four content areas as a Special Education teacher, served as Dean of Students, and held leadership roles as Assistant Principal and Principal. In addition to his commitment to educational innovation, he participates in the Accelerating Innovation in Education Fellowship through the University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship program.
